The 2023 Hornet GT is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder gas engine paired with nine-speed automatic transmission that pumps out 265-horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The Hornet GT comes standard in all-wheel drive platform with 17-inch wheels and Koni shocks.
The Plug-in Hybrid Hornet R/T
It's bold, its aggressive... and it's a hybrid! The 2023 Dodge Hornet R/T offers buyers the option of an efficient hybrid crossover. The R/T replaces the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in the Hornet GT with a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 90-kW motor and six-speed automatic transmission producing 285-horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Experience an even more exhilarating drive with the Segment-Exclusive PowerShot which when engaged adds an extra 25-horsepower for up to 15 seconds. The R/T Sport Mode and three hybrid driving modes: Hybrid, Electric and E-Save allows drivers the opportunity to choose the way they drive based on their driving needs.
- Hybrid Mode – Provides maximum combined efficiency of the conventional engine and e-Motor, minimizing fuel consumption by setting electric priority until a minimum battery level is met
- Electric Mode – Offers an all-electric, zero emission mode, and automatically switches to hybrid when the battery is depleted or when extra power is requested
- E-Save Mode – Gives priority to the conventional engine to preserve battery charge, with a Passive option to maintain the charge and an Active option to help recharge the battery
