That’s right! The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe combines the advanced turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, 2 electric motors and our robust TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission to give you a plug-in hybrid vehicle experience that allows for an EPA-estimate 50 MPGe and an all-electric driving range of 25 miles.
A total of 375 horsepower & 470 lb/ft of torque can be delivered, along with the ability to go from 0-60 mph in just 6 seconds. Because of the use of the 400-volt, 17 kWh, 96-cell lithium-ion nickel manganese cobalt battery pack, you’ll have access to 3 E Selec driving modes:
- Hybrid, blending torque from both the 2.0L engine & electric motor
- Electric, using zero-emission power until the battery reaches the minimum charge or if you need additional torque
- eSave, saving the battery’s charge for later use by utilizing the 2.0L engine
There are several Electric Blue design cues onboard the 4xe like the black hood decal outline, loads of Easter eggs and the Rubicon version’s tow hooks, hood, interior accent stitching & exterior badging. There will be 3 trims offered for this plug-in hybrid in Upstate New York including:
